Yes, so long as the expenses were incurred to pay for the care of yourself, your spouse or common-law partner; or a dependent. A dependent is you or your spouse’s or common-law partner’s child or grandchild; or you or your spouse’s or common-law partner’s parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, nephews, or nieces who lived in Canada at any time in the year. Please contact us for more details as each person’s tax requirements vary.

Yes, we accept insurance and we can direct bill insurance. In the instance where direct billing is not available for your insurance company, we will provide a receipt to be submitted to your insurance. Insurance fully covers (or partially covers) many of the homecare services we provide.

Our care staff has many years of collective experience in healthcare and must undergo training each year to ensure that best practices are maintained. We only hire qualified team members and are dedicated to providing ongoing training and benefits to our care providers.

Our care plans are flexible, and we try our best to work within all budgets. Costs will vary depending on the type of care that you need. Please give us a call so we can work with you to create a plan within your budget.

We provide home care services to residents of Calgary, Alberta and surrounding areas.

During the initial consultation, we get to know you and your needs. We take the time to listen to the type of help you need around your home, including cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and assistance with getting to appointments. We get to know your medical needs, your hobbies, and your interests in your community. This information allows us to create a plan that works for you.

Our scope of care is flexible and wide-ranging. We offer home care services for the elderly, postpartum, postoperative, and persons with disabilities. Our services include medical and non-medical patient care, homemaking, and companionship. 

Our caring and experienced care providers and companions provide up to 24-hour care in the comfort of your own home. Our services are not limited to the above. If you have a specific requirement, please give us a call, and we will work with you to determine a care plan.

We focus on provider and client relationships to ensure that each of the patients we work with enjoys our care providers’ company. You are given the same provider each visit and will not be given a new care provider unless requested.

We work with our client, their family, and other stakeholders to establish a comprehensive care plan that meets our clients’ specific needs. Each patient is assessed on an individual basis. We also provide regular updates to our clients’ loved ones to keep communication open. This ensures that family and friends are well informed and establishes a sense of trust and confidence.

Our directors are highly educated and experienced in quality care and public health. They have worked in pandemic situations, are well experienced in disease prevention, and provide training policies for care providers. True Compassion Home Care has a strong Covid-19 response policy which all our employees have been trained on and must adhere to.
